Application to Export Controlled Goods and Technology - Australian Government

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to export goods, services or technology listed as controlled in the Defence and Strategic Goods List (DSGL). This permit can cover more than one supply and it can cover a particular supply for a specified period. Controlled goods include items such as:

  • ammunition
  • firearms
  • propellants and constituent chemicals for propellants
  • military ground vehicles
  • production equipment for rockets and missiles.

Licence

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit you must:

  • complete the current application form
  • submit all relevant supporting documentation, such as End User Statements or Certificates, Technical documentation, Import approval from a foreign country and Firearms or dealers licences
  • provide a valid DECS Client Registration Number
  • provide the names and addresses of the consignee/s
  • satisfy the Agency that there is no risk the DSGL technology or the goods may go to a country where it may be used in a way contrary to Australia's international obligations or commitments; which may be used to commit human rights abuses or be used in conflicts adverse to Australia's interests.
