Appointment as a Legal Metrology Authority - Australian Government

Description

You will require this approval if you intend to operate as a legal metrology authority. Three categories of legal metrology authorities may be appointed to service the needs of the national measurement system:

  • approving authorities for pattern approval testing
  • certifying authorities for the certification of measuring instruments and to certify reference materials
  • verifying authorities for the verification of reference standards of measurement and utility meters.
