You will need this approval to participate in the Australian Government Digital ID System (AGDIS). The AGDIS enables individuals to verify their ID online for certain government services. This approval will enable you to act as a relying party or accredited entity within the AGDIS.
You will need this approval if you intend to interact with Government Digital ID providers. A “relying party” is an organisation that provides a service, or access to a service, to consumers by verifying the consumer’s identity or attributes through an accredited entity.
Please note, this approval is not currently available to private sector entities.
