Note that this standard has been updated and you will need to meet the requirements set out in AS/NZS 4968:2023 Heavy-Road Vehicles - Mechanical Coupling Between Articulated Vehicle Combinations.

You may be required to comply with this standard if you operate a long distance interstate road transport business and you intend to use a B-doubles.

A B-double's fifth wheels (including turn-table bases if they are used) must comply with the rating and functional dimensional requirements in this Standard.
