Australian Standard AS 2702 Acoustics - Methods for the Measurement of Road Traffic Noise - Australian Government

Description

You may be required to comply with this standard if you intend to operate an airport lessee company, or if you are the occupier of an airport site. You may also require this standard if you intend to undertake construction or demolition work at an airport.

An airport lessee company must monitor the levels of pollution present in air, water or soil at the airport and the level of noise generated at the airport. An occupier of part of an airport site must provide all reasonable assistance to the airport lessee.

This standard specifies methods for the measurement of road traffic noise and for the collection of associated data, and outlines the minimum instrument requirements and the preferred scales of measurements. Explanation is also given for the procedure for selection of measurement sites and the non-acoustic data which are to be recorded in conjunction with the acoustic measurements.
