Renewable energy certificates may be created for installations of solar water heaters, providing the solar water heater meets certain conditions. One of these conditions is that the solar water heater has been given product certification by an accredited body in accordance with this Standard.
The Standard specifies requirements for the design and construction of solar and heat pump hot water supply systems for household premises and for commercial and industrial installations comparable with household installations, intended to deliver potable water of acceptable quality.
