Authorisation to Use, Handle or Store Prohibited and Restricted Carcinogens - Australian Government

Description

You will need this authorisation if you, or your employer, are licensed to self insure with the Comcare scheme and intend to use, handle or store a prohibited or restricted carcinogen. Exposure to carcinogens may have serious health-related consequences if adequate measures are not in place.

Restricted and prohibited carcinogens are listed in Schedule 10 of the Regulation. If you have provided notification of continuing work with a carcinogen in accordance with the requirements within the last five years, you will not require this authorisation until the five years expire.

Please note, a separate application must be completed for each carcinogen at the workplace.
