Authority to Offer a MySuper Product - Australian Government

Description

You must apply for this authority to offer a class of beneficial interest as a MySuper product. You can only apply for this authority if you are a licensed trustee. This authority applies to your registered superannuation entity (RSE).

MySuper is an Australian Government initiative to provide low-cost and simple super products for employers to use as their default super fund. You must apply for this authority for each MySuper product that you intend to offer.

This authority does not apply to a fund with fewer than five members or to an eligible rollover fund.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this authorisation you must:

  • submit the approved form and all relevant information
  • state the RSE licensee's and the fund's ABN
  • submit an up-to-date copy of the deed trust by which the fund is constituted
  • submit an up-to-date copy of the governing rules of the fund.
