Authority to Sell or Supply Liquor at the Australian National University - Australian Government

Description

You will need this authority if you intend to sell or supply alcohol within the grounds of the Australian National University in Canberra. This authority is provided for the sale of alcohol during special events and functions at the university.

Alcohol cannot be sold or supplied within university grounds or buildings unless it is approved by the Agency. Please note that you will require an Australian Capital Territory liquor permit if you are a third party or not part of the university staff.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to receive this authority you must:

 

  • apply to the director
  • if the sale of alcohol is related to a major event, provide the application at least 14 days before the event
  • if the sale of alcohol is related to a minor event, provide the application at least 7 days before the event
  • hold an Australian Capital Territory liquor permit if you are not affiliated with, or a representative of, the university
  • provide a Risk Assessment Management Plan (RAMP).
