Aviation Security Identification Card - Australian Government

Description

You will need an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) if you require frequent, unescorted access to secure areas of an airport to do your job.

There are three different types of ASICs. The type of ASIC you require will depend on your role and operational need.

  • Red: must be properly displayed in the airside security zone or secure area of a security controlled airport
  • Grey: must be properly displayed in a secure area of a security controlled airport (does not give you access to the airside security zone)
  • White: may be required if you are contracted or employed in a security-sensitive role that requires a valid background check (for example, known consignor, regulated or accredited air cargo agent, ASIC issuing body).
