Commercial Evaluation Chemical Permit - Australian Government


You will require a permit if you intend to manufacture or import new industrial chemicals in Australia for specified performance or product trial. Sufficient evidence must be provided detailing why you require the product, how long the trials will last and the amount of product required. The maximum amount of product allowed under this permit is four tonnes and the maximum duration of the permit is two years though any lesser time or amount will be considered.

Additionally, you must be able to display that all persons involved in the evaluation of the chemical are protected by adequate safeguards in a User Agreement. Only proposed users who have completed this Agreement may use the product. This permit will not be issued for chemicals to be evaluated through retail sale or for retail products in general.
