- trams
- trains
- buses and coaches
- taxis
- ferries
- aircraft.
The standard sets out minimum compliance requirements for vehicles and premises used in your public transport service, including:
- accessibility
- boarding devices
- allocated spaces
- handrails and grab rails
- doorways
- lifts
- toilets
- symbols and signs
- access to information about transport services.
The standard provides transport operators and providers with certainty about their obligations and when complied with may provide operators with protection from complaints of unlawful discrimination. Not complying with the standard may be a breach of the law.
