Embryo Research Licence - Australian Government

Description

You will need this licence if your business or organisation is involved in any research or business activity relating to the following:

  • excess assisted reproductive technology (ART) embryos
  • embryos created by means other than the fertilisation of a human egg by a human sperm
  • human eggs
  • creation or uses of other embryos.

Research or other activities relating to embryos can only be conducted under a licence. It is an offence under legislation to use embryos unless it is authorised or such research is otherwise exempt.
