Extra Service Status of Residential Care Facilities - Australian Government

Description

You may need this status if you operate a residential aged care facility and intend to offer your patients a significantly higher than usual standard of:

  • accommodation
  • food
  • services.

This status allows you to charge your residents higher fees. However, it lowers the amount of subsidy you will receive from the Commonwealth. You may apply for this status for all, or part, of your aged care facility.
