Description

You must comply with this code if you operate a vessel.

The code is intended for communications between ships, aircraft and authorities ashore during situations related to the safety of navigation and persons; it is especially useful when language difficulties arise. The code is suitable for transmission by all means of communication, including radiotelephony and radiotelegraphy.

Vessel operators must have a copy of the code on board.
