You will need this licence if you intend to manufacture narcotic drugs, excluding medicinal cannabis.
The licence allows you to undertake the following activities:
- obtain a narcotic substance from a plant, like an opium poppy
- obtain a narcotic from a synthetic process
- turn a substance into a narcotic drug, including transfers like morphine to codeine
- refine and / or change the concentration of a drug.
Please note, you may also need a licence from your State or Territory Government and / or the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
