Description

You will be required to comply with this code if you are the manufacturer or importer of hazardous substances that are intended to be used, handled or stored on board trading ships.

A manufacturer or importer of a hazardous substance must ensure that a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is prepared before the substance is supplied. The material safety data sheet must be prepared in accordance with this code.

The purpose of this code of practice is to provide advice on the preparation of SDS's. The aim is to provide consistent health and safety advice to persons who could be exposed to hazardous substances and dangerous goods.
