You must comply with this standard if you are a supplier of covered vehicles. Covered vehicles are vehicles that are entered onto the Register of Approved Vehicles for the first time from 1 July 2025.
The standard outlines an average CO2 target for all new covered vehicles. You must meet or beat the target by supplying more fuel-efficient, low or zero emission vehicles.
You can also cover the shortfall in the following two years by supplying more efficient vehicles that are below the target, and / or by purchasing units to offset their emissions values.
