You will be required to notify the Agency if you are the operator of a facility plant site and the amount of unscheduled discrete organic chemicals (DOC) produced at the facility was more than 200 tonnes in the previous year, or if an individual plant at the facility produced more than 30 tonnes of an unscheduled DOC containing one or more of the elements phosphorus, sulphur, or fluorine during the year.
A DOC is any chemical belonging to the class of chemical compounds consisting of all compounds of carbon, except for its oxides, sulphides and metal carbonates, identifiable by chemical name, by structural formula, if known, and by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) registry number, if assigned.
