Description

You will require a petroleum production licence if you are in control of a petroleum exploration permit, or retention lease, and you intend to construct production facilities, in the location covered by the permit, for the recovery of petroleum or the storage of greenhouse gases.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must hold an Offshore Petroleum Exploration Permit or Retention Licence.

You must provide a Title Assessment Report if you are a petroleum production licensee.

The report must be provided within 30 days of the anniversary of the title being awarded or at any time required by the Agency. Information required in the report varies depending on the scope of your operations.

Duration

Indefinite term. However, the licence may be terminated if production ceases for 5 years.
