Overseas Payload Permit - Australian Government

Description

You will require this permit for the launch of one or more space objects, or a particular series of launches of space objects, from a specified facility, or specified place, outside Australia using a specified launch vehicle. A space object is an object which will, or part of will, go into or come back from an area beyond the distance of 100km above sea level.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit you must:

  • satisfy the Agency that insurance / financial requirements will be satisfied
  • satisfy the Agency that the launch / launches will not cause substantial harm to public health, public safety or property
  • satisfy the Agency that there are no national security, foreign policy or international obligations that cannot be met.
