Pattern Approval - Australian Government

Description

You will require this approval if you intend to register a trade measuring instrument. To register a trade measuring instrument, you must undergo a pattern approval process to ensure the design of the measuring instrument is suitable for trade or legal purposes.

If your application is approved, you will be issued with a certificate of approval that details the type of uses that the device has been found suitable for. There are numerous types of approval, each relating to a separate instrument.
