Permission to Unload Goods at a Landing Place or Port other than a First Point of Entry - Australian Government


You will require this permission if you intend to unload goods from a vessel or aircraft at a landing place or port other than a place that has been determined to be the first point of entry for those goods. Goods include the following:

  • animals
  • plants
  • a sample or specimen of a disease agent
  • pests
  • mail
  • any other article, substance or thing, including any kind of moveable property.

This permission allows you to unload your goods from the aircraft or vessel at the landing place or port specified in your request, subject to conditions specified in the permission notice. You can also apply to bring the goods to an alternative biosecurity entry point that has not been designated as a biosecurity entry point for those goods.
