Pipeline Licence - Australian Government

Description

You will require an offshore pipeline licence if you intend to construct, or operate, a pipeline for the conveyance of petroleum or a greenhouse gas substance. The licence provides the legal title to remove petroleum or greenhouse gasses from an area using a pipeline constructed according to the specifications on the licence.

Duration

Indefinite term, but licence will terminate if the pipeline has not been used for a continuous period of at least 5 years or if the pipeline has not had any construction work for a continuous period of at least 5 years.
