Privacy (Credit Related Research) Rule - Australian Government

Description

You are required to comply with this rule if you operate a credit reporting body and intend to use or disclose de-identified personal information for the purpose of credit related research. Use or disclosure of that information without complying with this rule is prohibited.

This rule specifies:

  • permitted purposes for conducting research
  • steps you must take towards the de-identification of credit reporting information
  • the rules for the disclosure of de-identified information.
