Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code - Australian Government

Description

You are required to comply with this code if you are a credit reporting body or credit provider, or someone who receives information from those bodies, such as a mortgage insurer or trade insurer. You may be considered a credit provider if you provide credit as a substantial part of your operation.

This code sets out obligations above and beyond the Australian Privacy Principles you must comply with when handling credit information.
