Privacy (Tax File Number) Rule - AG - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You must comply with this rule if you intend to collect an individual's tax file number (TFN) information. This rule regulates the collection, storage, use, disclosure, security and disposal of TFN information with the goal of ensuring the privacy of the TFN information.

The TFN Rule only applies to the TFN information of individuals and does not apply to TFN information about other legal persons including corporations, partnerships, superannuation funds and trusts.
