Radiocommunications (UHF CB Radio Equipment) Standard 2011 (No. 1) - Australian Government

Description

You must comply with this standard if you intend to manufacture, supply, sell or modify an ultra-high frequency (UHF) radiocommunications device, other than a repeater, on the 477 MHz citizens band.

The purpose of this standard is to ensure that radiocommunications equipment achieves a satisfactory level of performance prior to use. The technical requirements of this standard are drawn from the AS / NZS 4365:2011 (Radiocommunications equipment used in the UHF citizen band radio service).

Please note that you may be exempt from this standard if:

  • you are importing a radiocommunication device for the sole purpose of use at a significant event
  • it is a multi-role device operating on frequencies other than those specified by the Agency as part of the citizens band radio services.
