You will be required to register on the National Database if you intend to supply, manufacture, or import telecommunications, radio communications, EMC and EME equipment. There are strict labelling rules within Australia for these types of equipment.
A compliance label indicates a device has been certified by the supplier as meeting any applicable standards that apply to that device. There are requirements for compliance labels including durability, legibility, positioning and font and symbol size.
Currently there is a transition period ending on 29 February 2016, during this period suppliers issued a supplier code number are able to label devices with the C-Tick or A-Tick. When the transition period is completed suppliers must register on the National Database and begin using the RCM (Registered Compliance Mark).
