Description

You will need this registration, or to be supervised by a registered person, if you intend to undertake telecommunications cabling work in lifts or elevators.

This registration only covers cabling work that is undertaken in relation to lifts and elevators, if you intend to provide other types of telecommunications cabling work then you must apply for a restricted or open registration.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration, you must:

  • meet the relevant competency requirements and specialist competencies for lift cabling
  • have completed the relevant qualifications
  • proof of practical (on-the-job) cabling experience
  • have registered with an accredited registrar.

You may also need to provide proof of successful completion of the cabling regulations test.
