You will require this registration if you intend to offer assessment services to aged care operations.

Aged care quality assessors conduct assessments of the performance of aged care homes against the relevant Accreditation Standards and principles, with particular emphasis on continuous improvement and education.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to be registered as an aged care quality assessor you must:

  • complete the approved course of training in aged care quality assessment
  • complete the orientation program
  • be 16 years or older
  • provide a police certificate that does not show any convictions for murder, sexual assault or any other form of assault.
