Registration of a Life Insurance Company - Australian Government

Description

You will require this registration if you intend to carry on business as a life insurance company.

Life insurance companies issue or undertake liability under life policies that provide some form of payment after death. They also issue sinking fund policies that issue several payments over a period of time that is not dependent on death. This registration does not enable businesses to act as a friendly society, trade union or other business that provides superannuation, pensions or payments for employees upon retirement.
