Registration of an Aircraft and Operator of an Aircraft - Australian Government

Description

You will need this registration if you are the owner of, or the person responsible for, an aircraft. An aircraft includes a remotely piloted aircraft over 150kg and model aircrafts not used exclusively for test flights.

A registered operator is the person or organisation responsible for ensuring an aircraft's continuing airworthiness and correct maintenance procedures. This can be the owner or someone nominated by the owner.

Please note that a record on the Australian Civil Aircraft Register does not constitute sufficient proof of ownership for either the registration holder or the registered operator.
