Security Sensitive Biological Agent (SSBA) Standards - Australian Government

Description

You will need to comply with this standard if you intend to handle security-sensitive biological agents (SSBA).

SSBA are biological agents that could be developed or retained in types and quantities that could allow them to be used as weapons. All biological agents that are considered to be SSBA are included in a list of SSBA, maintained by the Agency.

These standards set out requirements for the handling, storage, transport and disposal of SSBAs, and the security status of individuals who are entitled to handle or dispose of SSBAs.
