Small-Scale Renewable Energy Systems Accreditation - Australian Government

Description

You will require this accreditation if you intend to design or install small-scale renewable energy systems. Small-scale renewable energy systems are any of the following generation units:

  • solar panels
  • wind turbines
  • hydro.

To become fully accredited, you must first apply for provisional accreditation, which lasts for a period of one month. During this period you may upgrade to a full licence.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this accreditation, you must:

  • hold $5 million in public liability insurance
  • have completed the required training
  • hold a current electrical licence
  • hold a working at heights certification.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

To continue to be eligible for this accreditation you must complete at least 100 points of approved training in the following 12-month period.
