You will need to comply with this industry standard if you are a mobile carriage service provider that supplies, or intends to supply, public mobile telecommunications services. This industry standard applies to:

  • the section of the telecommunications industry consisting the telecommunications industry consisting of mobile carriage service providers who supply or arrange for the supply of public mobile telecommunications services
  • every port of a mobile service number.

The purpose of this industry standard is to:

  • prevent the unauthorised porting of mobile service numbers
  • reduce harm to customers arising from unauthorised porting of mobile service numbers.
