Verification of a Measuring Instrument - Australian Government

You will require this verification if you intend to use measuring instruments in the operation of your business. Verification signifies that your measuring instrument complies with the standards of measurement so as to ensure:

  • the measuring instrument operates within the appropriate limits of error
  • the measuring instrument is of an approved pattern.

Upon successful inspection by a servicing licensee or trade measurement inspector, your measuring instrument will be issued a verification mark to demonstrate compliance with the appropriate standards.
