Description

You need this licence if you intend to export waste plastic from Australia. Waste plastic means:

  • plastic that is discarded, rejected or left over from an industrial, commercial, domestic or other activity
  • plastic that is a surplus or by-product of industrial, commercial, domestic or other activity
  • processed engineered fuel.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • for each kind of regulated waste plastic intended for export under the licence, nominate a waste plastic specification with which that kind of plastic will comply
  • provide information demonstrating that the regulated waste plastic intended for export under the licence will be processed prior to export to comply with the nominated specification for the plastic.
