Wildlife Trade Permit - Single Use - Australian Government

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to import or export animals or plants. The wildlife trade permit allows you to import or export:

  • species listed on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)
  • Australian native species.

Activities covered include the:

  • export of Australian native plants and animals (including pets, wildlife, insects and shells) or products derived from threatened Australian native animals and plants and exotic species
  • import of species (including plants, and pets and animals for zoos, wildlife parks or travelling exhibitions) listed on CITES as threatened, and products derived from threatened species.

A Single Use Permit allows you to import or export a single specified consignment of a particular specimen.
