Dangerous Goods Driver's Licence - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to transport more than 500 litres or 500 kilograms of dangerous goods in receptacles or where the capacity of all intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) is more than 3000 litres, or where any IBC is filled or emptied while on a vehicle.

If you hold a valid Dangerous Goods Driver Licence issued from another State or Territory you will not require this licence.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • Provide evidence of your current driver's licence;
  • Have passed the test and completed the approved training course within 6 months before the application is made;
  • Have passed the medical fitness assessment for driving a road vehicle which must also be assessed within 6 months before the application is made; and
  • Not have committed an offence within the last 5 years that would effect the granting of a licence.
