Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and have successfully completed a qualification in the Property Development and Management Training Package (PRD01) or have completed 18 units from the Property Services Training Package (CPP07). The specific units of competency can be found in Attachment 1 of the Agents Practice Manual. It is a requirement of this licence to undertake and to demonstrate your continuing professional development. This can be managed by compliance with the continuing professional development guideline 2008.
If you hold a licence in another State or Territory and intend to conduct work in the Australian Capital Territory your licensing status will be recognised under the mutual recognition system.
In the case of a partnership or a firm, each member of the partnership or firm must be eligible for a licence, and at least one member of the partnership must be licensed.
You must publish a notice of your intention to apply for a licence (specifying the licence category or categories), in a daily Australian Capital Territory newspaper, before you apply for a licence.
