Application for an Approved Arrangement - Australian Government

Description

You will require this approval if you intend to carry out biosecurity activities.

An approved arrangement is a voluntary agreement between independent biosecurity operators and the Agency which permits operators to manage biosecurity risks and perform the documentary assessment of specified goods using their own premises, facilities, equipment and people.

Specified goods include the following:

  • animals
  • plants
  • samples or specimen of a disease agent
  • pests
  • mail
  • any other article, substance or thing, including any kind of moveable property.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this approval you must:

  • provide all required documentation and personal information
  • provide details of the proposed arrangement that is to be approved
  • satisfy the Agency that the level of biosecurity risk associated with the operation of the arrangement is acceptable
  • be a fit and proper person, taking into account whether you have been convicted of an offence.
