Authorisation of Meat Safety Inspector for Meat Exports - Australian Government

Description

You will be required to apply for this authorisation if you intend to undertake post-mortem inspection of livestock prior to exportation as meat or a meat product. Post-mortem inspection of livestock is undertaken at the abattoir.

Meat inspectors ensure the safety, suitability and integrity of Australian meat and meat products.

  • Undertake a national police check; and
  • Submit details of any pending criminal charges.
