Certificate of Validation - Australian Government

Description

You will require this certificate if you are authorised to undertake any flight related activity overseas and intend to undertake that activity within Australia.

This certificate suits pilots visiting Australia for a short period or to undertake a specific operation such as aircraft conversion training.

A certificate of validation has effect as:

  • A flight crew licence that gives authorisation equivalent to that which is held overseas;
  • An aircraft endorsement that gives authorisation equivalent to that which is held overseas; or
  • A flight crew rating or grade that gives authorisation equivalent to that which is held overseas.

Please note that if you intend to operate in Australia for more than 3 months then it is recommended that you apply for an Australian flight crew licence.
