Food Standards Code - Australian Government

Description

You may be required to comply with one or more of the food standards if you manufacture food or beverage products that will be consumed in Australia or New Zealand.

The various standards may apply if you manufacture or use:

  • ingredients
  • processing aids
  • colourings
  • additives
  • vitamins
  • minerals.

The code also covers the composition of some foods, e.g. dairy, meat and beverages as well as standards developed by new technologies such as genetically modified foods.
