Biodiversity Conservation Licence (Harm Flying-Foxes) - New South Wales


You will require this licence if you intend to shoot flying-foxes to mitigate commercial crop damage. Your licence is will authorise up to five shooters to shoot a strictly limited number of flying-foxes on a single property.

Before an application is approved, a property inspection must be undertaken to confirm damage by flying-foxes. Shooters should have sufficient experience and be proficient at accurately shooting moving targets with a shotgun.

Please be aware that before you undertake any shooting, you must ensure that all neighbouring properties have been informed.
