You will need this licence if you intend to conduct an activity or special event on a state road that may affect the operational flow of the road network and may require closure of traffic lanes. This does not include modifications to road assets.
Examples of relevant activities include:
- building construction
- oversize vehicle movements
- landscaping or maintenance that may impact traffic flow
- use of cranes
- utility maintenance (such as gas, water, communications, and electricity).
Examples of special events include:
- parades
- marches
- sporting events such as car rallies, large bike rides
- fun-runs and marathons.
Filming may also be considered a special event. Please note that special events require multiple agency involvement and special traffic management arrangements.
