Accreditation of High Risk Work Licence Assessors - New South Wales

Description

You will need this accreditation if you intend to assess the competency of applicants for high risk work licences.

Accreditation is needed to conduct a competency assessment, issue a notice of satisfactory assessment, or undertake any other assessment tasks relating to high risk work licences. Your accreditation will specify the classes of high risk work licences that you are authorised to undertake assessments.

Classes of high risk work include:

  • scaffolding work
  • dogging and rigging work
  • crane and hoist operation
  • reach stackers
  • forklift operation
  • pressure equipment operation.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this accreditation, you must:

  • hold a current high risk licence for the relevant class of high risk work
  • have a minimum of two years industry and operational experience in each relevant class of high risk work
  • have successfully completed a recognised skills assessors course
  • be a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or employed by an RTO or work in partnership with an RTO.
