A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

• provide details of any prescribed offence that you (or, in the case of a corporation, any director of the corporation) have been convicted of in the three years immediately preceding the application and details of any penalty imposed for the offence
• provide the full name of any manager or proposed manager of your animal supply operations
• specify the premises where your business will be conducted
• provide a description of the areas where animals for supply are or will be housed and the facilities and accommodation provided or intended to be provided for each species of animal
• specify animals to be supplied and particulars of the animal care and husbandry procedures that you propose to use
• supply reproductive data for each species of animal to be supplied, the number of animals held at the time of application and the annual turnover of each species
• not be a disqualified individual or corporation
• have a duly constituted animal care and ethics committee
• provide details of staff employed to care for the animals.
