Appointment as an Authorised Buyer of Rice - New South Wales

All rice grown in NSW for the domestic rice market must be sold and delivered only to an Authorised Buyer. If you intend to participate in the domestic rice market you must be appointed as an Authorised Buyer.

Please be aware that one company currently holds a licence that gives them the exclusive right to export rice from Australia. Therefore, this licence will not be granted unless the Board is satisfied that the rice grown is intended exclusively for use in Australia. The website provides further information on the current exclusive licence.
